HSCC 2024 AFL Football Tipping Competition
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

  1. Terms and Conditions: Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions of Entry. Participation in “HSCC 2024 AFL Football Tipping Competition” (“Competition”) is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Entry.
  2. Competition Period: Entry into the Competition commences at “9.00am AEDT on Monday 4th March 2024 and closes at 11.59pm AEST on Monday 26th August 2024” (“Competition Period”).
  3. Eligibility: Entry is only open to “Financial Members over 18 years of age of Horsham Sports & Community Club” (“Members”). Entry is not open to employees of “Horsham Sports & Community Club” (“HSCC”), or any persons who are directly involved and/or associated with the conduct of the competition, and their immediate families including spouses, parents, siblings and children of any such employees that are directly involved.
  4. How to enter:
    a) To enter the Competition, Members must hold a Financial Membership for the Competition Period.
    b) Complete a registration form at the following web address www.hscc.org.au (“Website”)
    c) Members must log into the Website, select the AFL team they think will win each game of each Round of AFL Football during the competition period (“Tips”). Selecting the winning team of the game will issue one (1) point, Losses or Draws will be issued with zero (0) points and not placing tips will be issued with zero (0) points.
    d) Members must complete their Tips a minimum thirty (30) minutes and maximum eight (8) days before the game is to start, for each game of each round during the Competition Period.
  5. Prizes:
    a) Highest score of accumulated points for the Competition
    1st) $2000.00 Cash
    2nd) $1000.00 Cash
    3rd) $500.00 Cash
    • b) Lowest score of accumulated points for the Competition
      i. $500.00 Cash
    • c) Select all winning games in a 9 game round – $20 HSCC Voucher
      d) Select all winning games in a 6 game round – $10 HSCC Voucher
    • e) $1000 Cash for a nominated sporting group
    • Vouchers estimated at but not limited to : $2000.00
      Cash prize total : $5000.00
      TOTAL PRIZE POOL : $7000.00
  6. Prize Winners:
    • a) Prize Winners for Clause 5.a) & 5.b), all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period will be verified at HSCC, 177-181 Baillie Street, Horsham, VIC, 3400 at 11:00am AEST on Tuesday 27th August 2024.
      • i. The valid entry with the greatest amount of accumulated points will win the prize as described in Clause 5.a.1st. Subjected to Clause 6.b)
      • ii. The valid entry with the second greatest amount of accumulated points will win the prize as described in Clause 5.a.2nd. Subjected to Clause 6.b)
      • iii. The valid entry with the third greatest amount of accumulated points will win the prize as described in Clause 5.a.3rd. Subjected to Clause 6.b)
      • iv. The valid entry with the least amount of accumulated points will win the prize as described in Clause 5.b).i. Subjected to Clause 6.b)
    • b) If, two (2) or more valid entries in Clause 6.a) have the same amount of accumulated points it will be called a Tie (“Tie”). In the event of a Tie the Prize Winners will be as follows:
      • i. If, two (2) valid entries have the greatest amount of accumulated points they will win the prize as described in Clause 5.a)1st and Clause 5.a)2nd combined and then divided evenly between the two (2) valid entries.
        The Prize as described in Clause 5.a)3rd will then be awarded to the valid entry with the second greatest amount of accumulated points, If two (2) or more valid entries have the second greatest amount accumulated points the Prize will be evenly divided between the valid entries.
      • ii. If, three (3) or more valid entries have the greatest amount of accumulated points they will win the prize as described in Clause 5.a)1st , Clause 5.a)2nd and Clause 5.a)3rd combined and then divided evenly between the number of valid entries.
      • iii. If, One (1) valid entry has the greatest amount of accumulated points they will win the prize as described in Clause 5.a.1st.If, One (1) valid entry has the second greatest amount of accumulated points they will win the prize as described in Clause 5.a.2nd and two (2) or more valid entries have the third greatest amount of accumulated points the prize as described in Clause 5.a.3rd will be divided evenly between the valid entries.
      • iv. If, One (1) valid entry has the greatest amount of accumulated points they will win the prize as described in Clause 5.a.1st. If two (2) or more valid entries have the second greatest amount accumulated points they will win the prize as described in Clause 5.a)2nd and Clause 5.a)3rd combined and then divided evenly between the valid entries.
      • v. If, two (2) or more valid entries have the least amount of accumulated points the prize as described in Clause 5.b)i. will be divided evenly between the valid entries.
    • c) Notification: The Prize winners will be notified in writing. The prize winners will be published on the Website for a minimum of 28 days from 28th August 2024.
    • d) The Prize Draw for Clause 5.e), comprising of all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period will be conducted at HSCC, 177-181 Baillie Street, Horsham, VIC, 3400 at 11:00am AEST on Tuesday 27th August 2024. The first valid entry drawn will win the prize as described in Clause 5.e).
      • i. Notification: The Prize winners will be notified in writing. The prize winners will be published in “The Age” newspaper 6th September 2024.
    • e) Delivery: The Prizes will be presented to the winners at HSCC.
    • f) Prize Winners for Clause 5.c) & 5.d).
      • i. All Valid Entries received during the Promotion Period will be verified after each round of AFL Football in the Promotion Period at HSCC, 177-181 Baillie Street, Horsham, VIC, 3400 at 11:00am AEST each Wednesday.
      • ii. Notification: The Prize winners will be notified by email. The prize winner will be published on the Website for a minimum of 7 days.
      • iii. Delivery: The Prizes will be presented to the winners at HSCC.
  7. Unclaimed Prize Draw
    • i. For Clause 5.a, 5.b, 5.c, 5.d.:If any prizes remain unclaimed as at 11.59pm on 29th September 2024, the Member will be deemed to have forfeited any entitlement to the prize and the unclaimed Prize will be donated to the sporting group that the member has allocated at time of sign up. If held, the winning sporting group of the prize from the Unclaimed Prize Draw will be notified in writing. If held, the Prize winner will be published on the Website for a minimum of 28 days from 1st October 2024.
    • ii. For Prize in Clause 5.e If any prize remains unclaimed as at 11.59pm on 29th September 2024, the group will be deemed to have forfeited any entitlement to the prize and the Unclaimed Prize will be redrawn The first valid entry drawn will win the prize as described in Clause 5.e)
      Notification: The Prize winners will be notified in writing. The prize winners will be published in “The Age” newspaper 7th October 2024.
  8. Valid Entries :
    • a. Tips must be place on each AFL game in the Promotion Period to be valid for the Prize in Clause 5.b)i.
      b. To have a valid entry for Prize in Clause 5.c) entry must select 9 out of 9 correct winning games for a single round of AFL Football.
    • c. To have a valid entry for Prize in Clause 5.d) entry must select 6 out of 6 correct winning games for a single round of AFL Football.
    • d. To have a valid entry for Prize in Clause 5.e) entry must tip on a minimum of 10 rounds of AFL Football season.
    • e. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of claims/entries and claimants (including entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify:
      • 1. Any entrant who submits a claim/entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of Entry; or
      • 2. Any entrant who tampers with the entry or claims process or who may benefit from such tampering.
      • 3. No responsibility is accepted for any late, lost or misdirected entries or prize claims.
      • 4. Any entry or prize claim not complying with these Terms and Conditions of Entry, in any way, will be deemed invalid.
  9. No waiver: Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  10. Promoter’s decision final: In the event that there is a dispute concerning the conduct of the Promotion or awarding of a prize, the decision of the Promoter will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  11. Cancellation / delay / modification: If, for any reason, any part of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of any part of this Competition, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, delay, relocate, modify or suspend any or all of elements of the Competition, subject to the written directions from any regulatory authority.
  12. Force majeure: The Promoter will not be responsible for any act, omission, failure or delay by the Promoter which is due to an act of God, riots, acts of terrorism, storms, fire, any labour or industrial dispute, any strike and other acts which are not reasonably within the control of the Promoter.
  13. Privacy: Personal information provided will be disclosed to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, prize suppliers and Australian regulatory authorities and may also be used otherwise as previously authorised by such customers (e.g. when applying for membership of HSCC). Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period (unless an entrant’s authority to do so is withdrawn in writing) use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes including sending electronic messages (including SMS, Email) or telephoning the entrant. All tips become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter complies with the Australian National Privacy Principles. You can gain access to the personal information held by the Promoter by phoning or writing to the Promoter at the address set out below.
  14. Publicity: Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a prize winner or are on the weekly leaders board (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
  15. Limitation of liability: Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter, its employees and agents, shall not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever (including negligence), which is suffered, incurred or sustained in any way except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  16. Governing law: The laws of the State of Victoria govern the Promotion.
