Elite croquet player Ken Bald was recently allocated $1000 in sponsorship from the Horsham Sports & Community Club as part of the club’s
commitment to assist local individuals in their sporting pursuits at state and national levels, and beyond.
Ken, formerly the world number 1 male croquet player and currently placed at number 20 in the world, is competing in a number of events over the coming months, including as a member of the Australian Croquet Team at the MacRobertson Shield in New Zealand in December and January.
He has also received sponsorship from the club in the past, whilst competing at the Croquet World Championships in 2005 in England and 2009 in Florida.
Ken said the club’s continued support of his sporting pursuits have been “absolutely fantastic”, explaining it takes the pressure off when preparing for a competition.
We wish him all the best over the coming months!
