Hopetoun Swimming Pool
Hopetoun Swimming Pool received $950.00 in this year’s Sponsorship Program to purchase safety equipment, such as a Head Immobiliser and Stiff Neck Collars for both Adults & Children. “Thank you once again for your most generous donation, these new items of safety equipment we hope we never have to use, but in the event that we do, our lifeguards will be confident in the knowledge that we have the appropriate equipment necessary to facilitate a rescue, should the need arise”, Lisa Magee.
Pigick Rural Fire Brigade
Pigick Rural Fire Brigade have received another grant of $276.00 to purchase some much need kitchen utensils, such as Tea-Towels, Chopping Boards and Knives, etc., including an urn for the Brigade which will be used for meetings, social events and incidents. “We would like to thank Horsham Sports & Community Club for the kind donation and supporting us to enhance our brigade environment for volunteers and community members”, Michelle Hallam.
The Fire Brigade have had 2 grants allocated in the last 10 years, bringing the total to $1262.
Kalimna Park Croquet Club
Kalimna Park Croquet Club bought new Croquet Balls, Center Pegs and Clips with their allocation of $600.00. Over the last 20 years, 13 grants have been allocated to the Croquet Club with a great total of $8150!
Dimboola Playgroup
Dimboola Playgroup were allocated $1500 in the 2017 Annual Sponsorships with which they purchased a cubby house, this year they have purchased new toys to complete it! With the $300 granted from this year’s Sponsorship Program, a Sandpit complete with Balls, Hoops, Shovels and Buckets has been finished to complete the area. New Tonka Trucks and durable play equipment including Kitchen utensils have also been added in there for hours of fun!
Local Iron-Women competing in the World 70.3 Championship
Congratulations to these three Horsham Ladies who competed in the World 70.3 Championships on September 1st in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The World 70.3 Championships is a 1.9km swim, 90km cycle and 21.1km run.
Wimmera Toy Library
Wimmera Toy Library were allocated $1484 in this year’s Annual Sponsorship Program to purchase new toys, shelving and storage. With 8 grants allocated to them over the last 20 years the total of $9,119 has sure bought many children hours of fun!
2018 Annual Sponsorship Presentation
Our 21st Annual Sponsorship Presentations on Sunday 24th June where $139,000 was distributed to 108 local Sporting Clubs and Community Groups, as part of our ongoing commitment to the Horsham and District Area.

Maggie Caris – Receives Individual Sponsorship
Maggie played in the 2018 International Schoolgirls Netball Championships, on the Gold Coast in May/June 2018 and the Australian team were undefeated for the week. The team went on to take out the gold medal in the Grand Final against Samoa in a very physical contest.
